HALLOWEEN!!!

All Hallow Eve at Salesianos

4^th ESO celebrated Halloween in English by some plays.

            Our theatre fan teacher had a good idea for learning English in Halloween: we have to create a horror story and play it for our classmates, in English, of course!

At first, our teacher, Pedro, projected a funny video by Mister Bean who was watching a horror film at a cinema with his girlfriend while they were eating popcorns. Here it's the video link, if you want to see it, it's really funny:

This video gave us the idea to make horror plays. We prepared the scrypts during the week and on Wednesday  after Halloween, our classroom was transformed into a theatre. With a lot of make-up, costumes and decoration, the show started:

The first play (by Marta García, Juan Manuel Dueñas, María Bravo, Ana Escribano) was a horror story about a priest who was killing a lot of people.

Then, Laura Olmo, Ángel Moreno, María Moreno and Alejandro Pinel represented the attack of a powerful ghost in a party.

Jose Andrés, Laura Tribaldo, Alina Sandu and Rocío Sánchez were a group of friends who have to look for some costumes in a strange scary house.

Jose Antonio Rubio was a crazy killer who killed Nuria Ranchal and Laura Redondo in their play with a knife.

Pedro García, Nerea Juarez, Mari Luna Márquez and Ángela Guillena represented the visit of the Death to a group of quiet friends who were dying slowly.

It was an interesting experience because we learned English and drama, and we laughed a lot with  plays which tried to be  terrifying, but at the end, they were funny.

10 RAZONES PARA IRSE DE ERASMUS ¿TE ANIMAS?

Sin duda una de las mejores experiencias que puedes vivir en tu vida es la de irte de Erasmus, estudiar, realizar una asociación estratégica con otros países para aprender las diferencias existentes entre éstos y el nuestro o hacer prácticas en el extranjero mediante una beca Erasmus está ahora a tu alcance.

¿Por qué irse?

1. Superarás un gran reto personal, serás tú solo contra el mundo, aunque por poco tiempo, porque….
2. Conocerás a mucha gente y harás grandes amigos (sin duda lo  mejor de esta experiencia)
3. Aprenderás un idioma (inmersión en estado puro)
4. Ganarás en tolerancia (realmente comprenderás qué significa ser extranjero, esta vez eres tú el que emigra)
5. Eliminarás de tu cabeza tópicos de los diferentes países que das por hecho
6. Creerás que todo es más fácil (Cuando te encuentras con tantas dificultades (sobre todo al principio) para realizar tareas tan sencillas como la compra, llamar a un taxi… harán que cuando vuelvas a España seas el rey del mundo y todo te parecerá pan comido)
7.  ¡Alojamiento gratis! (a partir de ese momento podréis viajar por el mundo gratis. Allí donde tengáis un amigo, tendréis una casa.
8. Perderás el miedo a viajar
9. Valorarás más lo que tienes en España (estando de Erasmus valorarás más todo lo que has dejado atrás en España)
10. Serás libre e independiente (para muchos será la primera vez) y eso te permitirá adquirir madurez.

  Introduction

  

We do a lot of activities at our school, we work really well, but nobody knows about it. In my opinion, we don’t know how to sell ourselves!!!!!

This is the era for communication and we are not really working hard with the media. A few years ago some students created the Salesian Diary at this school. Let’s recover it and sell ourselves!!!

Task

Your wonderful teacher is going to distribute the different sections in the magazine for you.

After remembering what has happened around us last term, select the story/stories you want to tell.

Write an article/some articles about them.

There will be 2 people for group, and every group will write two pages in this magazine.
