COOL VIDEO FOR FROZEN WEATHER!

A day after closing some schools on the west coast of the USA by a snowstorm; I received this video. The principal of Moses Brown School could do it in an efficient simple way, but he was CREATIVE: creating new lyrics for the song, recorded and laid it up, and uploading it for the next day! (Maybe it was ready, anyway. It’s fantastic!)

TRAVEL AGENCY


TRAVEL AGENCY:
A TRIP TO AN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY
INTRODUCTION
Why is English (one of) the most important language(s) in the world? Maybe because it is “easy”, maybe because the films, maybe because it’s the language for computers, … The reason? I’m not really sure, but one point is clear: it is very useful for travelling all around the world.


TASKS


Work in groups of three people. You are going to visit different websites to find information about the places to visit, things to do and see. Then design a country guide (powerpoint, prezi… presentation or a brochure)
 
 
  • Visit different websites and look for information about that country.
  • Choose what to include in your country guide. Then make a presentation with:

* Name of the country.
* Map.
* Flag/flags and national symbols.
* Places to visit (monuments, museums, famous buildings, natural areas…)
           * Things you have to do (activities)
           * Interesting/strange information (Transport, animals, sports, festivities…)


·        Include pictures

·         and a short description of most of everything.

·        Oral Presentation: Report your findings to your classmates

 

 

PROCESS

1- Visit different sites by a search engine.

2- Search the information that will be used in the PowerPoint presentation.

3- Select the places to visit, the things you can do…

4-Choose the pictures you will include and the description you will write.

5- Take notes about the places you can visit, the activities you can do, the pictures you are going to use…

6- Design you presentation. Use at least three slides.

 Has every member participated? Have they only read the information in the power point?

Do you think you know a little bit more about some of the English Speaking countries?

Which country is the most interesting in your opinion?
